Urgent Needs

CFA in Need of Food! - The Center for Food Action pantry is bare! We need FOOD for our neighbors in need - individuals and families in crisis. Urgent needs include: Canned meat, tuna, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans, canned vegetables, 100%juice, pasta, pasta sauce, Parmalat milk. Your Estimated Cost $30.00

Personal Products - Personal products are NOT luxuries, but necessities for our clients as they go to jobs, school or interviews. We need to provide them with: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and deodorant. Household personal products such as tissues, napkins, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and laundry detergent are urgently needed. Your Estimated Cost $25.00

Normal Needs

ORGANIZE A SCHOOL FOOD DRIVE - Help the Center for Food Action provide for our neighbors in need and, at the same time, give your children and their classmates a hands-on experience in community involvement. Organizing a school food drive is easy - check with your principal to find a good date (a week works best), send home flyers with the food items you want to collect, ask teachers to remind their class of the collection dates and watch the food come in! For more assistance in planning a school food drive and to schedule a delivery or pick-up, if needed, call 201-569-1804 ext. 25. Some food items to collect could include: Peanut butter, jelly, juice boxes, canned pasta, canned fruit and vegetables, tuna, soup, cold or hot cereal, cookies and snacks.

You can provide groceries for someone in need! - $30.00 will supply a neighbor in need with groceries to make nutritious meals for one week. Want to do more? Help a family of four with a donation of $120. Want to donate food? In this cold winter we need hot cereal, soup, pasta and sauce and canned vegetables to help our clients stay warm and healthy.
